Depending on how you contact us and whether a project proceeds, we may collect:

• your name, telephone number, email address and project address or postcode;
• information about your property, the work required, budget, timescale and current stage of the project;
• messages, correspondence and records of calls or meetings;
• photographs, plans, drawings or other files you choose to upload or send;
• quotation, contract, project, invoice and payment records;
• information needed to arrange access, coordinate trades, purchase materials and complete work; and
• technical website information such as browser and device type, approximate location, pages viewed, referral source and cookie identifiers where you consent to analytics.

Please avoid including unnecessary personal information about other people in photographs, plans or uploaded documents.

3. How we use your information

We may use your personal information for the following purposes:

• responding to enquiries, arranging visits and preparing quotations;

5. Contact and quotation forms

Information submitted through our contact or quotation forms is used to understand the proposed work, respond to you and decide whether we can provide a quotation.

Required fields are marked on the form. If you do not provide them, we may be unable to respond properly or prepare a quotation.

Submitting a form does not create a contract. If a project proceeds, relevant enquiry information may become part of the project and contractual record.

6. File uploads

If the quotation form permits uploads, files are used only to assess the enquiry, discuss the proposed work, prepare a quotation and, where instructed, deliver the project.

Access is limited to APK Builders and relevant service providers or trades where access is reasonably necessary.

Do not upload identity documents, financial account details, medical information or other sensitive personal data unless we have specifically asked for it and agreed a secure way to provide it.

7. Cookies and Google Analytics

Cookies are small files or similar technologies stored on your device. We may use the following types of cookies and technologies:

Strictly necessary technologies

These are required for website security, form operation, remembering cookie preferences and providing core website functions. They do not require consent where they are genuinely necessary.

Forms may be protected by Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam and malicious submissions.

reCAPTCHA may collect technical and interaction data for security purposes and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Where reCAPTCHA is treated as necessary for form security, it may operate without analytics consent. It is not used for advertising through this website.

9. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. Where reasonably necessary, we may share it with:

• trusted subcontractors and trades involved in preparing or completing your project;
• suppliers, delivery providers and waste carriers where relevant to the work;
• website hosting, email, form, storage, security and IT support providers;
• Google as the provider of Analytics and reCAPTCHA;
• accountants, insurers, legal advisers and other professional advisers; and
• public authorities, regulators, courts or law-enforcement bodies where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

Service providers acting on our behalf may use personal information only for the agreed service and must protect it appropriately.

10. International transfers

Some technology providers, including Google, may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we require an appropriate legal mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards, together with relevant security measures.

11. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, including legal, accounting, insurance and dispute-resolution requirements.

Our usual retention periods are:

• General enquiries that do not proceed: up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
• Uploaded files for enquiries that do not proceed: normally deleted within 12 months unless there is a reason to retain them longer.
• Accepted quotations, contracts and project records: normally six years after completion or the end of the relationship.
• Financial and tax records: normally six years, or longer where required by law.
• Google Analytics user-level and event-level data: up to 14 months, subject to the Analytics configuration and Google’s handling of aggregated reports.

Information may be retained longer where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, respond to a complaint or comply with a legal requirement.

12. Security

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss.

No internet or email system is completely secure. Please do not send highly sensitive information through an ordinary website form or email.

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have the right to:

• ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
